Making Friends

If you are a Super Senior, you most likely were involved in the college enrichment program known as Greek Life. What other organization contributes to your social development (pre-bars) and looks good on resumes (philanthropy chair) at the same time?

Every respectable greek organization adheres to an annual tradition known as Spring Recruitment. (If you went to a weird school that has Fall Recruitment, that's dumb, and no wonder why 1/3 of your pledge class is put on academic probation).

Formal recruitment is the process that the National Panhellenic Conference sororities use to recruit new members. Formal recruitment consists of various rounds of events that allow potential members the opportunity to learn about each individual chapter, as well as what it means to join a Panhellenic sorority. During the recruitment events, women will have time to ask questions about sorority life, financial obligations, new member programs, community service, and scholarship requirements.

Formal Recruitment is how you make friends in college. However, how you make friends in college is very different than how you make friends in the real world.

Let's take a look at How to Choose Friends, shall we.

**Although I am Super, I am still in the Real World and have grown to learn the importance of the use of graphs. They are especially useful in the Powerpoint Presentation and can directly communicate concepts such as budget, and demographics.
